Hi,
Anyone out there having information on a Prison ship that sank in Lake Erie near the Sandusky area, I own oil lamps that came off of this ship, I forgot the name however the “Fortune” rings a bell.

Your lamps are from the prison ship Success built in 1840 in Moulmein, India. Has a very colorful history. Was a prison ship in Australia. After being exhibited around the world it finally sank near Port Clinton, Ohio July 4, 1946. Could you scan a picture of your lamps? This ship is in our book Erie Wrecks West.
