Description

The Fred Mercur was a wooden propeller that was built in Buffalo, NY in 1882.  In July of 1925 she caught fire and burned to a total loss. The crew was saved.

The wreck is located about 5 km upstream (west) of Stanley Island, and is on the north side of the shipping channel near the east end of St. Regis Island.
